WHAT IS BA HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT?

The BA Human Resource Management degree offers Industrial and Organisational Psychology as a major subject, in conjunction with Business Management, Human Resource Management, Labour Law and other business related modules. It is largely aimed at the business-minded individual who prefers people over numbers.

Graduates become employed as human resources practitioners, trainers or managers in local, regional and national government, small, medium and large business or non-government organisations.

The qualification allows graduates to register with the South African Board for Personnel Practice.

Conduct training, provide market and organisational research, manage change, develop individual career plans, design pay structures, use HR Information Systems, manage employment relationships, run small businesses, plan human resources, engage in strategy formulation, work effectively in groups and add value in any organisation.

MINIMUM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

BA Human Resource Management

  • Candidates must have a National Senior Certificate (NSC) and pass at least four subject with an achievement rating of 4 (50-59%) or better.
