Kgotsofatso Mohlala graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2023 and completed her Honours in Industrial and Organisational Psychology in 2024. She is currently pursuing a Master of Commerce in Industrial Psychology at Nelson Mandela University. Her master’s research adopts a psychobiographical approach, examining identity and career development through an integrative theoretical lens. Her scholarly interests lie at the intersection of identity formation, career development, resilience, and sociohistorical context, with particular attention to marginalised and non-WEIRD populations.

 

She is especially interested in how systemic barriers, personal agency, and contextual influences shape vocational trajectories and professional identity over the lifespan. Kgotsofatso currently serves as an Academic Intern in the Department of Industrial and Organisational Psychology at Nelson Mandela University, where she contributes to teaching, student development, and academic support initiatives and is actively involved in curriculum-related and departmental initiatives. Through both research and practice, she is committed to advancing inclusive career development practices and contributing to the transformation of psychological research within the South African context.
